Flexifoam bv exists already since 1976 and is - still today - a family-owned business that has specialized in manufacturing first-rate quality foam-based abrasives for hand finishing and intermediate hand sanding. We export more than 99% of our turnover to more than 40 countries all over the world with a continuous, healthy and steady growth.
We always have, and we will keep focusing on superior quality products, therefore only the premium qualities of abrasive grits, foams and adhesives are used for the manufacturing of our products.
Flexifoam products are mostly used for intermediate sanding of curved and profiled work pieces, sanding of paint, filler and old varnish, mat finishing of varnishes, drywall sanding and off course, all the other aspects of the finishing preparation. Although the main market for our products had historically grown in the furniture and wood sector, today several of our products have also generated a significant turnover in the car repair sector, the paint trade sector, the automotive sector, the electronics sector and the aviation sector. Some of our products are even used in the beauty sector for nail care.

We stand for local production according to European standards and values, with a focus on quality, sustainability, and fair working conditions. Flexifoam products are very handy. You will find that they lie perfectly in the hand and without a lot of pressure they automatically take the shape of the surface you need to sand. Painful hands after sanding definitely belong to the past.

Flexifoam products have an exceptionally long life expectancy and can be used both dry and wet. Saturated abrasive sponges can even be rinsed with tap water.

Flexifoam products use ‘direct coating’ (the abrasive grit is directly attached to the foam). This method is the base of our most important advantage: a high finish. The finish of Flexifoam abrasive sponges is much finer than with standard sanding paper. For example: a Flexifoam abrasive sponge with grit #120 gives the same finish as sanding paper with grit #240.
In other words, we can say that sanding with Flexifoam abrasive sponges is more handy, more comfortable, gives a higher finish and they last longer.
